Hotel site at Laguardia airport location approved to build 126 rooms hotel for 48,424 square feet. This location is very close to both the new Citi Field and Willets Point Development, which includes plans for first convention center outside of Manhattan.
Laguardia airport is only 8 miles from mid town Manhattan and LaGuardia Airport, located in the borough of Queens eight miles from midtown Manhattan, is New York City's main domestic airport.
LaGuardia is still served by over 20 airlines and offers nonstop daily flights to numerous destinations in the U.S. and Canada. There are also seasonal flights to the Bahamas and Bermuda.
In the late 90s, LaGuardia routinely experienced overcrowding-related delays that have increased the airport's capacity. The airport consists of five terminals: the Central Terminal Building, the Delta Terminal, the US Airways Terminal, the US Airways Shuttle Terminal, and the Delta Shuttle Terminal, which is housed in the historic Marine Air Terminal. Shuttle buses connect the terminals.
